WIC Clinic Status Update
Update: Most WIC clinics are still open. However, some WIC clinics will close temporarily to protect the health of WIC participants and staff. Your local WIC clinic will contact you if they are closing.
Important: If you or anyone in your family have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please call your WIC office and reschedule your appointment. You may also be able to complete your WIC appointment over the phone. Thank you and be safe.

Topic: EBT Benefits Are NOT Cancelled
You may have heard through social media that WIC is calling participants in certain states to say that participants should use the remaining benefits on their EBT cards by a certain date because WIC will be sending out new cards with additional benefits to be used during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is true that in some cities and counties, participants will be receiving EBT cards in the mail with additional benefits so that they do not have to come into the WIC clinic to load new benefits on their current EBT cards. However, the cards that states are sending out are regular EBT cards, not emergency EBT cards.

You may have seen on social media that if your local store is out of infant formula due to COVID-19 “panic purchasing,” you can call the formula company directly and they will send you free formula. This is not true. If you cannot find infant formula in your store, please contact your local WIC clinic and ask for help. Good news: Infant formula manufacturers have increased production and are working with both stores and WIC to ensure there is enough infant formula for everyone who needs it.
